Description
Argyle Lake Lodge
features six fully equipped guest housekeeping cottages with modern
appliances, hot and cold water, showers and electric lights.
Three
of the cottages are large two bedroom log cabins with additional loft
bedrooms, one cottage is a newer deluxe open concept three bedroom cottage,
there is a small one bedroom cottage and one cottage is an A-frame with a new addition featuring two bedrooms
and a living room. There is
also a main lodge that is a spacious one and a half story log cabin as the
main living quarters for the owner. There
are several other buildings on the property including a large workshop,
two pole barns, a storage building and generator building. Argyle
lake lodge is currently operated as a three season drive-in camp but could
be converted to a year round business.
It offers an excellent atmosphere for family vacations, fishing,
moose, bear and grouse hunting. We
are miles from our nearest neighbors and are the only tourist camp on a
series of four lakes. Customers
can explore infinite hiking, boating and canoeing possibilities with many
lakes in the area or just relax on our natural sandy beach.
There is access to hundreds of miles of ATV trails that loop back
to the lodge for great riding adventures.
Location
Argyle Lake Lodge is a remote three season drive-in camp located twenty
seven kilometers west of Matachewan with two kilometers of road access
near the end of highway 566. The
lodge is situated on approximately five acres of prime northern real
estate spread along the sandy south shore of Argyle Lake and is surrounded
by crown land. It is located in Argyle Township on Argyle Lake and is
truly a remote wilderness location set in the James Bay Frontier Bush,
with the nearest neighbors being fifteen kilometers away.
For other reference points, Argyle Lake Lodge is eighty kilometers
west of Kirkland Lake and sixty kilometers south east of Timmins, Ontario.
